HFD Administration
Highlands Fire District is governed by the Highlands Fire Board, which is a five member nonpartisan board of directors. For the most part, officials are elected by the voters of the Fire District. These dedicated individuals contribute their time and expertise for no monetary gain to provide the community with emergency services at the greatest possible value. The Board establishes policy, sets tax rates, approves the budget, hires a Fire Chief, and is ultimately responsible for the protection of life and property within the District boundaries.
The Board delegates authority to the Chief Officers to manage the Fire Department. Mike Bradley became Fire Chief on May 22, 2010. He has served HFD in the capacity of Deputy Chief since 2002. Dirch Foreman is the Deputy Chief.
