I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Highlands Fire District website. I hope you enjoy visiting the site and learning more about your Fire District. As with any website, this one will continue to grow and change as we work to build an educational and informative experience for you, our neighbors.

Highlands Fire is an all-hazard emergency service provider serving the community from two strategically located fire stations. Fire Station 23 is located on the east side of the District and Fire Station 25 is located on the west side. The Fire District has a peak population of 7,000 people and covers approximately 25 square miles. Additionally, we respond to service area of approximately 100 total square miles. We have a staff of 28 full time dedicated employees, 15 seasonal employees on our wildfire hand crew,and one volunteer Fire Inspector/Fire Marshal.

Highlands Fire is driven to success by our Mission,Vision and Values and guided into the future by our Strategic Plan. These documents plus much more can be found while exploring our website. Our goal is to create a community based organization dedicated to serving our neighbors.
