The Highlands Fire District has a firewood assistance program for district residents that cannot obtain their own firewood supply for the winter. The wood is sourced from trees that were removed during fuels reduction projects throughout the Highlands Fire District. That wood is split into firewood to assist out Fire District residents in need. 

Qualifications for Firewood Assistance:

• You are on a fixed income or low income.
• You don’t have family or friends to assist you with wood gathering.
• You have fallen on hard times.
