Highlands Fire District is no longer issuing burn permits.
Highlands Fire District has changed the practice of issuing burn permits. Instead, you will need to notify the District when you burn. This includes your name and address. These notifications will be shared with the On-Duty Battalion Chief and Forest Service Dispatch to alert for possible smoke in your area.
Please complete the residential Campfire or Debris Burn Notification online everyday you are burning.
First, check for fire restrictions.
Next, check weather conditions. Do not burn if there are windy conditions or if a Red Flag Warning has been issued.
Then, submit the appropriate notification form below.
